BOP Coverage Designed for A/E firms

Not all Business Owners Policies are created equal. For the design profession BOPs are crafted specifically for design professionals and feature several tailored enhancements. Included in these tailored policies is an Architects and Engineers endorsement that broadens standard coverages as well as adds coverage other coverage that are important to design professionals. Below is a table outlining some of the key differences between a standard policy and an A/E BOP that is available to design professionals through Hall & Company.

Limited Business Income and Extra Expense coverage options. $25,000 built-in Business Income and Extra Expense coverage (limits can be increased if desired).
General Aggregate liability limit applies annually. General Aggregate liability limits applies per project.
Joint ventures must be reported and added to the policy by endorsement for coverage. The insured’s liability for its participation in unnamed joint ventures is covered without having to be specified in the policy.
