In the Team Zone: The “Design” Team Relationship Project design teams take many forms. In fact, that variety continues to evolve and shift with the never ending expansion of project delivery models. However, whether it is a traditional architect led design team, a multi-prime approach, or a variation of design-build, project success requires a team-oriented approach with corresponding communications procedures, coordinated responsibilities, and accountability. This program is structured on a two-track model with principles, strategies, and tools to manage team relationships which are either contractually connected or unbound by contracts, but nevertheless interdependent for performance. David Ericksen of Severson & Werson will facilitate this second installment in his three part series – In the Zone.
Participants will learn the following objectives:
- Distinguish the divergent design “team” structures for project delivery.
- Develop internal contract and communication procedures and tools for contractually related design teams.
- Develop internal contract and communication procedures and tools for contractually disconnected design teams.
- Establish documented coordination communications to be applied across any project type.
