AE Blog - Client Contract Negotiation
One of the more common requests we receive from the design firms that we insure at Hall & Company has to do with increased limits required by their existing or prospective clients. We don’t know what you’re experiencing, but more and more frequently clients are calling for advice on how to handle burdensome requirements or seeking mid-term quotes for higher limits. These contract demands often come with no correlation to the associated professional fees.
This leaves design firms asking us, “how can I educate my clients on limits of liability to negotiate agreements that include reasonable limits?”
This article gives some pointers on how you can use the contract negotiation process to achieve acceptable and equitable contract language while also educating your clients about the standards of your industry at large and the practices of your firm in particular. We hope you find the information useful.
