That which is accomplished at meetings and how meetings are documented is absolutely critical in managing everyone’s expectations. The effectiveness of a meeting is largely dependent on how well the meeting is planned. Solid planning is essential, especially when the meeting is at a location several hours away from your office where recovery from forgetting something can be very difficult. To manage this situation, I recommend using a checklist prepared well in advance of the meeting.
