The Outer Zone: The “Outside” Relationships
Almost any project will have participants, contributors, or consumers who are outside both the contractual framework and the arena of shared performance and collaboration. In fact, those may be the most precarious relationships of all in that they are unbounded by either contracts or direct communications. This program will sort and identify those risks, establish methodologies for evaluation, and corresponding strategies and tools to efficiently and effective manage those extenuated relationships and corresponding risks.
David Ericksen of Severson & Werson will facilitate this FINAL installment in his three part series – In the Zone.
Participants will learn the following objectives:
- Appreciate why relationships outside contractual controls present uncontrolled risk.
- Steps to identify and evaluate third party risk sources and exposures.
- Strategies to manage communications and commitments from and to third parties during project performance.
- Strategies to manage communications and commitments from and to third parties following substantial project completion.
